The Ninth Doctor
The Ninth Doctor is a centuries-old alien Time Lord who travels in time and space in the TARDIS. He is a war-torn loner who disguises his trauma with a sense of humour and determination to protect the innocent. He is joined by Rose Tyler, a 21st-century companion who is just as independent and courageous as the Doctor. They also travel with Adam Mitchell, a self-serving boy genius, and Captain Jack Harkness, a reformed con man. The Doctor, Rose and Jack form a close team but are separated in the series finale in which each character has to make difficult choices and face sacrifice.
